Free to build, publish and collect

Write a form, publish one link, and read the first answer today.

Formwell is a document-style form builder. Type your questions the way you would write them down, set the rules that make them behave, publish one link, and read what comes back in the same place you wrote the form.

How did the first month go?

A worked example. Your own form starts as a blank page.

The free plan

Everything it takes to ask and to listen.

The free plan carries the whole journey — no trial clock, nothing in the build-and-publish path behind a wall.

  • Eight question types: short answer, long answer, email, number, pick one, pick any, rating and date.
  • Logic that shows, hides or requires a question when an earlier answer calls for it.
  • Calculations that total, average or count the numbers a respondent gives.
  • One shareable link per form, on this address, with a preview before you publish.
  • A results view for each form where the answers arrive and the share link sits beside them.

How it works

Three steps from an empty page to a real response

  1. Write the questions. Add a block at a time in your own words, or describe the form in a sentence and let the assistant draft the first questions.
  2. Set the rules. Show a follow-up only when it is relevant, and total the numbers you collect.
  3. Publish and read. Publishing gives the form one link; every answer lands in the results view for that form.

Plans

Free to build and publish. More room when you need it.

  • Forms with no Formwell branding
  • A higher monthly response limit per form
  • A higher number of published forms per account
  • Export of a form’s responses as a CSV file

Questions

Before you start

What does the free plan include?

Every question type, logic rules, calculations, one published link per form and a results view for every form. Nothing on the path from a blank page to a first response asks for a card.

Do I need an account to build a form?

Write the questions first. You sign in with an emailed code when you publish, so the form and its answers belong to you.

Where does a published form live?

At one link on this address. You send the link, whoever opens it answers, and the response appears in that form’s results view.

How many people can answer?

Each form takes a set number of responses in a calendar month. The count and the limit sit on the form’s own page, and the next month starts the count again.
